History of the School 

Abundant Life Academy is an evangelical Christian school community with students from many different churches and over 40 different towns and cities around Northern New Jersey. Students do not have to be a part of a Christian church as long as parents sign our Covenant Agreement stating they know their children will be taught from a Christian perspective. At the high school level, students who want to transfer in may be asked about their relationship with Jesus Christ. 


Vision Abundant Life Academy will be a loving and effective private Christian school. We will guide our students to academic excellence and a life of service to our Lord Jesus Christ. Abundant Life Academy will produce students and graduates who love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. ALA students will thrive as worshippers, diligent students of scripture, and prayer warriors. They will excel in evangelism and Christian service. 

Abundant Life Academy admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies,scholarship and assistance programs, athletics and other school administered programs.

Abundant Life Academy Fast Facts

  • Abundant Life Academy opened in 1986 with 35 students as a ministry of Abundant Life Church.

  • In September of 2025 Abundant Life Academy dedicated a new STEAM lab equipped with 3D Printers, an engineering section and a STEAM library.

  • In January 2023 Abundant Life Academy received donations to remodel our weight training room providing a great exercise training area for athletes and HS students.

  • Abundant Life Academy constructed a new playground on the North lawn to provide a safe and durable place for our preschool to younger elementary children to play in June 2023.

  • The Abundant Life Garden was expanded in the spring of 2023 to provide our students with a place to learn and experience gardening and farming techniques.

  • In the fall of 2024 ALA underwent the re-accreditation process with the National Association of Private Schools and received NAPS accreditation.

  • Abundant Life Academy was awarded the National Rescue Champions Award in 2023-24 for our work fighting human trafficking by Destiny Rescue.

  • Each classroom at Abundant Life Academy is equipped with interactive projectors with many classes utilizing Promethean Boards, Smart-boards and iPad and Chromebook labs.

  • ALA’s largest senior graduating class was in 2020 with 38 graduates.

  • Abundant Life Church and ALA are housed on a 7+ acre campus that is convenient to many major highways in New Jersey.

  • Abundant Life Academy students come from over 40 different townships and represent about 40 different churches in Northern New Jersey. We are one of the most ethnically diverse Christian schools in New Jersey. Many of our staff, parents, and students have immigrated here from nations like Trinidad, Cuba, Philippines, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Ecuador, Brazil and more.

  • ALA partners with University of Valley Forge, Oral Roberts University, and Imagine Learning to offer dual credit and AP courses for our students with a total of over 50 possible courses each year.
